STILL LIFE ON SATURDAYS

Fee: RAA Member $25.00 per class or $150.00* for a series of 8 classes

NON-Member $35.00 per class or $240.00 for a series of 8 classes

The learning objective of this course is to experiment with paint media and various techniques. Students will practice the composition, perspective and color mixing techniques when capturing still-life subjects. We will address the issues of color balance and contrast as well as creation of rich textures. In the progression of the course we will try to evolve into a more abstract interpretation of still-life composition.

Kacper Dolatowski has a BFA from Rochester Institute of Technology and an MFA from Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Poland where he underwent intensive training in Fine Arts including drawing, painting and sculpture. The teaching methods and objectives will be based on his training in Europe and focused on a contemporary approach to experiments with painting media.

*RAA Members participating in the class will be able to continue painting in the classroom from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays after the instruction has ended.
